Fresh Potato

Fresh potatoes from Portpro Duct Co. Ltd. are sourced from Thai farms with red-skinned varieties known for their firm texture and natural yellow flesh. The product is delivered without chemical treatments, though solanine levels are noted as a concern in areas exposed to sunlight. Tubers are available in three size categories: 100-150g, 150-200g, and over 200g, offering flexibility for different market needs.

The potatoes are grown under standard Thai agricultural practices, with skin color indicating variety and potential solanine content. Red-skinned types are common in the Khon Kaen region, where soil conditions favor lower solanine accumulation in the flesh. Unlike waxed or chemically treated potatoes, these are left in their natural state, which may affect shelf life but aligns with preferences for minimally processed produce.

These potatoes are primarily exported to markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, where demand exists for fresh, uncoated tubers suitable for both retail and food service. Packaging options include 10kg mesh bags, 10kg cartons, and 20kg cartons, allowing for diverse distribution channels. Buyers should confirm the solanine tolerance threshold and request lab certification for safety compliance, particularly for children’s food or institutional use.
