Anguila bicolor
Sourcing Anguila bicolor from Cv. Belut Pratama Jombang - Indonesia Import Guide
Before placing an order with Cv. Belut Pratama Jombang, verify the health and condition of the eels by requesting recent water quality reports and mortality rates from the supplier’s farm. Confirm that the eels meet the size specifications and packaging standards required for your market. It is also advisable to check if the supplier can provide a certificate of origin and any additional documentation needed for customs clearance.
Discuss logistics details, including the estimated lead time from order confirmation to shipment, which typically ranges from 3 to 7 days for live eels. Clarify the Incoterms; in this case, FOB Tanjung Perak Port means the buyer assumes responsibility for freight and insurance from the port of loading. Payment terms are T/T, so ensure the payment schedule aligns with your financial processes. Buyers should also confirm the supplier’s ability to handle temperature-controlled shipping if required.
For quality assurance, arrange for an inspection of the eels prior to shipment, either at the farm or at the port of loading. Request a sample batch to assess size consistency, health, and packaging integrity. Ensure the supplier provides all necessary permits and health certificates, particularly for markets with strict import regulations. Document the condition of the eels upon arrival to address any transit-related issues promptly.
