In India dried leaves of Palash are used to make disposable leaf plates and leaf bowls to serve food. Its leaves are rich in glucoside, linolenic acid, oleic acid, palasitrium, burin, bucolic acid. Flowers are rich in flavonoids, triterpene, button, button, isobutrin, coreopsis, isocoreopsin and sulphurein.
