Cow Horn / Horn Table Top
Sourcing Cow Horn / Horn Table Top from Basic Agro Tech Nigeria Ltd - Nigeria Import Guide
Before ordering, verify the supplier’s ethical sourcing claims and request documentation to confirm the horn is not from endangered species. Discuss customisation options for height and width, as the natural horn’s curvature may limit certain designs. Inspect a sample table to assess the finish quality, stability, and aesthetic appeal, especially if the furniture is intended for commercial use.
Logistics should account for the table’s weight of 7.5 kilograms and its dimensions, which may require special handling for shipping. Confirm the Incoterms with the supplier to clarify responsibilities for freight, insurance, and duties. For air or sea freight, check if the table requires additional packaging to prevent damage during transit, as horn can be brittle under stress.
Quality checks should include testing the table’s load capacity and stability under typical use conditions. Inspect the polish finish for uniformity and the absence of cracks or defects in the horn. Request a material authenticity certificate and any available documentation on ethical sourcing to ensure compliance with import regulations. For bespoke projects, confirm the supplier’s ability to deliver custom dimensions and finishes on time.
