The Pinarello Bolide TR is Pinarellos more affordable triathlon specific bike. The design was inspired by their Bolide TT time trial bike. Spending hours on end testing this bike in the CFD simulator helped engineers come up with optimal frame shape. Average wind speed and dynamics from previous Kona races were used in these simulations for real-life application. Eventually, they settled on a concave downtube and a sloping top tube. A longer fork creates better air flow around the frame while simultaneously improving your handling ability. Topped off with internal cable management, this bike cuts through the wind with excellent speed.
