At the whisk(e)y fair THE VILLAGE taking place in Nuremberg distilleries, distillers, importers and marketers from all over the world present around 2,000 whiskeys and whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Japan, the USA and other countries of the world. Rarities and exceptional specialties are complemented by typical Scottish and Irish specialties, such as haggis or Irish stew. The fair is open to whisk(e)y connoisseurs, newcomers and trade visitors of 18 years and older. In addition to the wide assortment of whiskeys and whiskies, experts and connoisseurs provide the appropriate specialist knowledge. In the basic seminars, whisk(e)y newcomers and interested persons learn the basics for the right enjoyment of whisk(e)y. The master classes, where experts introduce different drams offering them to taste are more technically profound. Visitors can get to know and taste the special features of certain rarities. Always one day before the official opening, the exclusive pre-opening takes place from 5 to 11 pm. The tickets are strictly limited and available via the online shop of the whisk(e)y fair and selected pre-sales offices. Here, the visitors can discover and enjoy the rarities already one day before the opening. The evening programme with live music and selected dishes in an original atmosphere is an absolute highlight. Since 2017, the whisk(e)y fair is co-located with the rum fair PUEBLO DEL RON, where exhibitors offer rums from all over the world proving that rum has far more to offer than just Cuba Libre. The Caribbean flair invites you to stay, enjoy and discover. The whisk(e)y fair THE VILLAGE and the rum fair PUEBLO DEL RON take place on two days together with the exhibition for leisure, tourism and gardening. In order to enter the fair, a transition ticket to the ticket of the exhibition for leisure, tourism and gardening must be purchased at the passage to the hall. Admission is permitted from age 18 only. The exhibition center in Nuremberg can be easily reached by metro. Visitor parking is available in sufficient numbers. Arrival by metro is recommended to be able to enjoy the tastings. Honoured interested parties, due to the effects of the corona virus, the fair will be postponed to this new date.
